I've been reading on various gaming websites today that Sony has announced via their Official PlayStation Blog an expansion of the closed beta test for PlayStation Home to begin at the end of the month.The Playstation Blog announcement doesn't mention whether the application instructions apply to just U.S. or if Canadians can also apply in the same manner. Fearing the worst, I assumed it was U.S. only.
Fortunately, a commenter by the name of geekdadcanada asked if Canadians can also apply for the Playstation Home beta.
Jack Buser, Director of PlayStation Home had this reply:
"Canada is included."
Ah, such sweet words you speak Jack.
So if you're a Canadian gamer, and looking to apply, here's the scoop on how you do so:
Today the PLAYSTATION Store will be updated with a PlayStation Home theme. By downloading the theme, users are submitting an application to join the PlayStation Home Beta test community. Sony will be using a variety of criteria including activity on the PLAYSTATION Network to determine eligibility for the Beta community. Existing beta testers have automatically qualified to be part of the expanded beta.
