GameON is hosting another one of its gTalk events on September 2nd. For those unfamiliar with gTalk, it is a series of game industry speaker and networking events held across southern Ontario. Typically, an event consists of presentations from established game industry professionals. There are also opportunities for Q&A and networking.
This next gTalk event is titled Roundtable Discussion On Games & Education. The focus of the discussion will be around how the game industry works with Ontario's post-secondary schools and how to build upon these relationships in the future.
Should be a very interesting discussion considering that there's been a steady trend of students enrolling in game related courses and programs after high school. As well, more post-secondary and specialized institutions are offering programs related to various aspects of gaming (development, design, production, marketing, etc.).
