MIGS 2009: Yoichi Wada Headlines Speaker Line Up

By Andrew Shin

This past week, the Montreal International Game Summit announced its line up of five main speakers who will be presenting to event attendees. Headlining this very established and well respected group of key speakers is Yoichi Wada, the Chairman and CEO of Square-Enix.

The complete list of main speakers include:

Yoichi Wada, Chairman-CEO, Square Enix
Paul Holden, Lead Architect, Media Molecule
Jason Holtman, Director of Business Development, Valve
Heather Chaplin, Author
Chris Hecker, Technology Fellow, Maxis/EA

I personally am looking forward to listening to all of these individuals as they are surely to provide great insights and personal thoughts as it relates to gaming. The fact that Yoichi Wada is participating at this year's event is big news and another great achievement for MIGS - now in their sixth year in existence.

Keep visiting back here at NextGen Player as we will continue to report on news and post articles related to MIGS 2009.

A very nice line-up for MIGS, I can't wait for this November.

I did some research on Heather Chaplin and it looks like she's the author of Smartbomb, a book that covers some interesting personalities such as CliffyB, Will Wright, as well as the history of Nintendo. I'll have to pick this up and give it a read.
