Here's another game high on my 'must-play' list: Dolmen, the new third-person action RPG in a unique horror sci-fi setting, from Prime Matter and Massive Work Studio. The companies recently announced that Dolmen is launching on May 20, 2022, for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Pre-orders for the game are on now.
Why I'm so hyped for this game is because of its awesome looking cosmic setting combined with its challenging Soulslike gameplay that mixes melee combat with ranged weapons. Having just beat Elden Ring and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, I'm ready and excited to tackle my next brutally challenging game. I'm also a big fan of the horror genre, so Dolmen is certainly hitting all the right notes for me.
From what I've seen so far, Dolmen has an elaborate upgrade system and a huge range of gear for your chest, hands, legs and head to really customize your character to your liking. You can also imbue your weapon with elemental properties to exploit enemy weaknesses and cause status effects. Graphically, Dolmen looks like quite a stunner as well, another reason I can't wait to dive in.
Coinciding with the game's release, the team behind Dolmen has released a new trailer showcasing the co-operative and multiplayer modes. The game supports up to four players online, cool! Here's the launch trailer so you can take a look:
