CollectorVision Games has announced that their action platformer Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on February 6. This fourth entry in the Sydney Hunter franchise first released on Steam and Switch in September 2019. The new PlayStation and Xbox ports promise to deliver the same hair-raising gameplay and gorgeous 8-bit graphics.

New in the PlayStation and Xbox version is a "hidden interactive feature" that fans will have to sleuth out and discover. According to CollectorVision the new hidden area will let players meet Yuki, a fun and familiar character from FX Unit Yuki: The Henshin Engine.

Sydney Hunter and the Curse of the Mayan has the titular hero explore a massive Mayan pyramid across 13 levels full of secrets and bosses inspired by Mayan culture and history. Leaning into its retro inspiration, the game features an 8-bit soundtrack by veteran game music composer Ben Allen and has a CRT mode that turns scan lines on and off. The game is releasing in less than a week on PlayStation and Xbox, and to celebrate the launch the Steam and Nintendo Switch versions will receive a 30% discount off their $9.99 price from Feb. 6 to Feb. 20.
