Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles Adds Playable Jar Jar Binks

25 years after its original release, Aspyr is reviving the classic action game Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles for modern platforms. Newly announced is Jar Jar Binks will be playable in the remastered release for the very first time. Here's the trailer announcing Star Wars' most famous Gungan in the game:



By my count that's now a total of 23 playable characters, including 13 new ones. Here's the rundown of who's playable in Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles:

  • Pilot Droid: Agile and powerful, this character fights with acrobatic kicks, punches, and more.
  • Weequay: Blast your way through the action with precision shooting and tactical prowess.
  • Rifle Tusken Raider: Expand the Tusken Raider lineup with this sharpshooting character, following the earlier reveal of Staff Tusken Raider.
  • Flame Droid: Unleashes scorching flames and explosive attacks, blasting enemies with overwhelming firepower.
  • Rodian: A deadly sharpshooter with exceptional agility, picking off foes from afar with pinpoint accuracy.
  • Gungan Guard: Armed with trusty spears, this formidable warrior attacks with deadly precision in melee range.
  • Destroyer Droid: A heavily armored force of destruction, ready to destroy those who attack.
Plus there's Jar Jar Binks and Aspyr previously announced the Loader Droid Boss is playable via a cheat code. That's a huge and exciting roster to say the least!

Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles releases on Jan. 23, 2025, and is coming to PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
