Here Are Your Most Wanted Wii and DS Games for August '09, Canada

By Paul Hunter

Yesterday in my inbox I received Nintendo of Canada's monthly eNewsletter that includes our favourite part -- the most wanted lists.

The lists this month seem just as arbitrary as last month with the same game swap-a-roo shenanigans happening.

For August it looks like Wii Sports Resort displaced Animal Crossing City Folk as the #2 most wanted title. Animal Crossing moved down to #10 and displaced Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree. So in mathematical terms: Wii Sports Resort > Animal Crossing > Big Brain. Sounds about right to me.

On the Nintendo DS list we have a new top game, with The Legendary Starfy debuting on the most wanted list at #1. Starfy bumped Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon to #11 which in turn knocked Professor Layton and the Curious Village off this month's list. So using the same mathematical logic as above: Starfy > Fire Emblem > Professor Layton. Hmm, well that one's debatable.

So, here are the Most Wanted lists for August 2009:
